Scope

A four-week timeline is only honest if its edges are published. Both lists below are part of the written scope agreed before work starts.

What the adaptation covers

  • Your course structure, chapters and activity types
  • Roles, membership rules and who can see what
  • Discussion spaces with moderation rules configured to your policy
  • Branding, domain and single sign-on against your identity provider
  • Progress tracking and completion reporting

What it does not

  • Producing the course content itself — that is yours, or a separate engagement
  • Accredited certification recognised by an external body
  • Live video conferencing; the platform links out to your existing tool
  • Public marketplace or paid course sales in the first four weeks

In detail

This is the platform behind UpX. Courses, chapters and activities. Plus the community around them: discussions, membership, follows, notifications and moderation.

It runs in production today. Real accounts sign in through one central identity service, rather than a separate login stuck on each app.

Why the login part matters more than it sounds

Most internal training tools end up orphaned. A separate login, a separate list of people, and a slow drift away from who actually works at the company.

This platform signs people in through one central service. Accounts are matched on a single shared identifier, not on an email address. So when someone joins or leaves, that flows through by itself instead of being updated twice.

Moderation is built in, not bolted on

Banned words, blocked links, slowing people down, rate limits, minimum account age and auto-locking all exist already.

For an internal training group that is usually more than you need on day one. But it is there when the group grows past the point where one person can read everything.
